• The Spill Kit contains absorbent materials, clean up equipment and personal protective equipment. 
• The absorbent material, amalgamation powder, was developed to make cleaning mercury spills from work surfaces, floor cracks and other hard to reach areas easier and safer. This is accomplished through converting the elemental mercury into an amalgam, which binds the mercury vapours, and reduces the risk through inhalation or skin contact.
